What is Low-Intensity Focused Ultrasound?
LIFU concentrates acoustic energy at a precise focal point deep within tissue, achieving therapeutic effects through mechanical force rather than heat. Unlike traditional ultrasound, shockwave therapy, or laser, LIFU’s phased-array transducer steers energy with sub-millimeter accuracy to exactly the right spot, stimulating cellular repair, modulating neural circuits, or disrupting tumors, all without ever breaking the skin.
